Taking a break from knitting in order to finish the embroidered name cloth for my nephew's baptism next month. I haven't done cross-stitch in years and had forgotten how much I actually like it.
(Still prefer the diversity of knitting though).
This is the work of 4 or 5 evenings / 2 hr sittings. Another 2 or 3 and I should be all done! :)
It is understandable - at least for me - that you prefer to knit. But your embroidery looks very pretty. Good luck with all the upcoming stitches!
ReplyDeleteOh I love Piglet! This would be something my kids would love :-) I have been thinking about cross stitch recently, but haven't picked it up again. I was thinking it might be easier for my almost 5 year old instead of me trying to show her how to knit. And something like this she could definitely get into.
ReplyDeleteLovely embroidery! Your nephew will love it. It's soo cute. Greetings from Germany. Sabine.
ReplyDeleteI really love your little piglet design. As someone who cross stitches as well its nice to mix it up with the knitting, I to find the knitting more diverse.
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely x
ReplyDeleteVery cute! My daughter loves to cross stitch and is working on a horse which looks incredibly difficult to me. Not that I don't like cross stitch, I guess knitting's more my thing. :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I don't have the eyesight for cross stitch, but I love watching other people do it.
ReplyDeleteLovely embrodery. Piglet looks so happy.
ReplyDeleteHere's my WIP: http://mibruno.com/en-proceso-75/
Adorable! I looove cross-stitch. I just started needlepoint again, I'll be posting my stitching progress each Sunday.
