All stretched out for blocking
Pattern: Multnomah
Yarn: Candy Skein Yummy Fingering
Alterations: The pattern only called for 10 repeats of the fan and feather motif, but I figured I might as well go for as long as the yarn would let me, so I added another two repeats. I might even have had enough yarn for a third, but I wasn't quite sure that would leave me enough yarn for the bind off, so I decided to play it safe. I now have 5g left of the yarn and am contemplating what to use that for :)
Ohh I love the choice of color with this pattern. It's gonna look awesome when worn =)
ReplyDeleteYou could use the 5g left for the Beekeeper's Quilt ;) I just started and it's a great way to showcase leftovers from awesome yarn =)
I did think of that, but as of yet I'm not making a Beekeeper's Quilt for myself. That may change in the future though ;)
Deletewow this is a beautifiul shawl, the colours are amazing. have a knitty friday xxx
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous. I have this queued. I keep meaning to make it for my Mum...how big is it? Does it just cover your shoulders or is it quite large (my Mum's a big lady, so I need something large really)
ReplyDeleteIt's still all blocked out, but right now it's 125cm x 55cm (approximately)... don't know if it'll shrink a bit once I take it off the needles.
DeleteBeautiful!!!! The pattern and yarn go so well together!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! This is the second Multanoh I've seen today! I love this pattern and have had it queued for awhile, but haven't made it yet...
ReplyDeleteThe colors are gorgeous. Its a gorgeous shawl. And it looks like it was fun to make.
ReplyDeletehmm..if you can, will you take another pic when it's done blocking or just posst a re-measure if needed...I'm going to try and figure out a size also..wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt ended up being 120cm x 45cm after blocking.
DeleteThe colors are stunning, and the shawl looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteI love how the shawl came out. And I would have done the same with the repeats, just keep gong until there is not enough yarn left.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! The colours, the knitting, everything. So easy to see why it's your favourite :D
ReplyDeleteThank you! :-)
