WHY hadn't anybody told me how terrific Tami's Candy Skein Yarn is??? I actually find myself not wanting to put down my knitting because the yarn is so lovely to work with. I foresee many Candy Skein purchases in my future... good for Tami, bad for my wallet ;-)
But as a result, my Multnomah is going swimmingly. I'd hope to finish today, but that pesky work interviened. It should definitely be done by Friday though.
I've gotten a few more hexipuffs done too, for my friend's rug. At 41 hexipuffs I'm just over half way. I decided to try knitting two at a time - figuring it would be no different from knitting two socks at a time and might be faster than knitting one at a time. I can't quite figure out whether I find it worth it though. It's certainly a lot more fiddly.

What a lovely needle case! I need something like that for my circulars.
ReplyDeleteI love the yarn you're using for your Multnomah.
Love the colors of your hexipuffs. I have the pattern, but have not joined the hexipuff craze yet :)
ReplyDeleteLove the colors of the hexipuffs; I've been keeping myself at bay with the hexipuffs--wonder how much longer????
ReplyDeleteI love that needle case, I have one for my straights but not for the circulars yet. Same as many others I have the hexipuffs pattern but have not yet got going x
ReplyDeleteThe needle case is awesome; your sister did a wonderful job with it!
ReplyDeleteYour shawl is tempting me to get some Candy Skein yarn and those hexipuffs, I can't wait to see the F.O.
She really did! Even better, the blue material on the outside is a left-over from when she made the MOH dress for my wedding, so it has extra special meaning for me :)
DeleteYour needle case is lovely. And your shawl is looking so amazing. I love the yarn. I can't wait to see it done.
ReplyDeleteAll your projects are lovely and the shawl is looking great - can't wait to see it finished in that striking yarn!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shawl, it's one of my favorite patterns that I plan to knit up again. The green is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt's quickly becoming one of my favourite patterns as well :) I love the way it's turning out.

Deletemy brain hasn't been able to wrap itself around taat yet!
ReplyDeletestop talking about candy skein! I'm going to cave one of these days!!
Doooooo eeeeeeet! ;-)
DeleteLovely yarn you're knitting your shawl with! It's so wonderful to find yarn that is worthy of affection (which I seem to have THE WORST time with).
ReplyDeleteAnd a beautiful, handcrafted, full-of-love needlecase! Sigh.
I can highly recommend this one. It's just lovely :)
DeleteTo make the needlecase even more special, my sister used fabric that was left over from when she made the dress for my MOH at my wedding :)
