I finally finished the fingerless mitts for Nina :)
(The colour is slightly off - it's not as yellow IRL. The photo here is closer to the real thing).
Unfortunately I ended up not being terribly thrilled with neither the pattern nor the yarn. The yarn was a silk/flax(linen) mix which was wonderfully soft to the touch, but not a lot of fun to knit with. The pattern in itself was fine, just... boring. Of course it didn't help that Nina had asked for the gloves to be elbow-length ;) But I've finished them - and if Nina ends up liking them, it'll be all worth it :)
I'm sure Nina will be pleased. Have a nice weekend. Regula
ReplyDeleteI like that longer length. Warm!
ReplyDeleteThe mitts are lovely. I really like the longer length.
ReplyDeleteI hope Nina likes them. If not that yarn might make beautiful heirloom washcloths. Just can't beat the linen content for anything like that :)
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain on knitting with linen, but if it helps at all - the finished gloves are lovely! I'm sure she'll love them.
ReplyDeleteoh, they'll be nice & warm, and that's all that matters.
ReplyDeleteThose look lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love wearing linen, but yes - knitting it can be a pain :(
