WIP Wednesday - Shrug and basket

Almost done with my sister's shrug! Here's the left sleeve
And here's the right sleeve
Now I just hope it fits! She's a bit shorter than me, so hopefully I haven't made it too large.

I got a tad bored with all the lace though, so I also started another project. I found these gorgeous boxes from "More Last-Minute Knitted Gifts" by Joelle Hoverson and immediately knew I had to knit some! Sorry about the darkness of the photo - I had to take it this morning.

On a different note, I've finally gotten most of my crafts room sorted, and found this quaint old shoe rack to hold my yarn :)

    Great progress on the shrug! The little box you're making is coming along nicely as well...the finished picture on the pattern page looks really cute!

    What a neat idea! I love the different ways we can repurpose items. Love the box idea, I should use leftovers to make felted boxes. Good luck with the shrug!

    Oh! How gorgeous is that sweater/shrug! You are a beautiful knitter...me not so much...still practicing. I hope someday I can have knitting that looks like that!
    The gift book sounds like a great one and I can't wait to see yours when it's done.
    What a great idea for yarn storage! Amazing how much it holds too!

      Sam, the lace used here is REALLY easy. It looks more complicated than it is. I've only been knitting for 2 years myself.
