WIP Wednesday: Love in Music

Yes, still...

I'm starting to believe I might actually be able to finish soon though. It's suddenly starting to take off. I decided to knit up the cuffs on the cast-on edge to give me a better idea of how far I'd come - I didn't want to risk suddenly having knit far too much. Especially since it's lace and I still haven't figured out how to unravel that and pick up the stitches again afterwards. I should probably put in a life line at some point...

Anyway, I'm digressing. As it's hard to model on myself, and my husband absolutely refuses (don't blame him!) I brought it to a friends' place last night to model it on her and get a proper idea of how much I still had left to go.
Not much to go - not much to go at all :)

Pattern: Lost in Music Coverup
Yarn: Grignasco Champagne

    1. My sister chose the colour herself. I think it'll look terrific with her white wedding dress.

  5. Oh that is pretty! I have been thinking about making a shawl recently (probably because it is so cold where I am), I never thought of a shrug!

    1. My sister found this pattern on ravelry and loved the fact that it looked shawl-like, but she wouldn't have to hold on to it all night.

  7. Wow, I've never seen that pattern before. What a clever cover-up idea! I'm quite lucky; DH is usually quite happy to photograph whatever I want.

  9. Haha. I can't imagine how my husband would react if I asked him to model a lacy shrug. Probably similar to yours! :-D

You're getting close! It looks great.

    1. Yeah, some things he wouldn't mind modelling, but a lacy shrug isn't one of them. And even IF I could convince him a) it would be much too small for him. b) I wouldn't be allowed to take a photo and post it online ;)
