WIP Wednesday - Swedish Elfe

I was away on vacation last week and got a lot of knitting done while I was gone, so after a delightful week in Stockholm I'm ready to show off my progress on my two active WIPs.

First the test-knit "Frost Flowers". I had a bit of a snag with this while away from the computer, so it hasn't come quite as far as I would have liked, but now that I'm back and have all of that sorted out I'm rearing to go again. The yarn I'm using is teetee Elegant, and I think the colour works very nicely with the pattern :)
A bit squished up as the needle is only 80cm. I need to get myself some longer ones!

Because of the snag I knew I had to bring something else with me to Stockholm if I wanted something to knit on the train ride there (5.5 hrs? I wanted something to knit!). I've been wanting to knit Elfe since I first saw it, and finally realized it would be the perfect use of my lovely Candy Skein Yummy Fingering. I was right :) It's a delight to knit and I find myself not wanting to put it down!
Just finished closing up the sleeves :)

FO Friday - Fingerless Mitts

Thank you all for your kind words about Tarragon the dragon. Fortunately my nephew LOVED it :D

There were actually two FO this week. When my sister and her family were here for Easter, my two oldest nieces asked me if I would knit them some fingerless mitts like the ones I'd made my nephew. Since they're super easy to knit, and I had some yarn available, I got cracking on them right away :) I managed to finish one of them on Saturday so she could get them while she was here, but didn't finish the other until Sunday evening after they'd left, so stuck them in an envelope to go in the mail. Two birds with one stone? She got both the gloves and something in the mail ;)

Anyway, because of the rush, I completely forgot to take photos of them before giving them to their intended recipients. Fortunately my sister was a dear and helped me out with that :)

LOVE the last photo :D
