Another Wednesday, another WIP post.
My
Get Fresh Summer Top is coming along swimmingly. I'm completely falling in love with the pattern and the yarn. It's fast and it's fun - knitting in the round is definitely a good thing.

However, I have now come to the part where I knit the front and the back separately, and I can definitely feel it's slowing me down. I don't purl neither as fast nor as evenly as I knit, so the tension isn't quite as even for the last few rows as it has been so far. Ah well, hopefully it won't be too noticable once I finish. Another couple of weeks on this one, and I should be there! :-)
Then Saturday I started the
Storm Cloud Shawlette for my sister, Nina. In the hopes of getting her to sew me a case for my needles, I suggested to her that we exchanged crafts. Fortunately she thought that was a brilliant idea, so I'm knitting this shawlette for her in return for the needle case :)

It's a very fast knit - pretty much flying off the needles. I'd guess I'm about half way done - a bit less if Nina would prefer it larger than the original pattern. I'm using an acrylic yarn for this, in the hopes that it won't be too scratchy against her neck.
