FO Fridays - Fingerless mitts

I finally finished the fingerless mitts for Nina :)

(The colour is slightly off - it's not as yellow IRL. The photo here is closer to the real thing).

Unfortunately I ended up not being terribly thrilled with neither the pattern nor the yarn. The yarn was a silk/flax(linen) mix which was wonderfully soft to the touch, but not a lot of fun to knit with. The pattern in itself was fine, just... boring. Of course it didn't help that Nina had asked for the gloves to be elbow-length ;) But I've finished them - and if Nina ends up liking them, it'll be all worth it :)

  2. The mitts are lovely. I really like the longer length.

  3. I hope Nina likes them. If not that yarn might make beautiful heirloom washcloths. Just can't beat the linen content for anything like that :)

  4. I feel your pain on knitting with linen, but if it helps at all - the finished gloves are lovely! I'm sure she'll love them.
