Full length, with me by its side for comparison - I'm 168cm/5'6"
Just slightly too big to use as a scarf ;)
It does look nice as a tablerunner though :)

It'll probably be awhile before I attempt any double knitting again though - this took forever! I'm very relieved to have time to knit other things again :)
Finally a request... I'm looking for a skein of yarn in a very particular colour-wheel, and have been unable to find it anywhere, so I figured - where better to ask than in a group of yarn-addicts :)
This is probably the colour-wheel that comes closest. It doesn't have to match it completely (I don't expect it to have all 8 colours - perhaps just red, yellow, green and blue). Preferably long stretches of each colour (no repeats would be perfect!), but it's not a must. I've been searching all my usual haunts and online yarn stores, but haven't been able to find it anywhere. Might any of you have seen it somewhere? Preferably somewhere that'll ship to Denmark ;)
That is so very, very cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome project! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the scarf!!!! It is so near. As to the yarn, find a localish indie dyer and ask them to do a special order!
ReplyDeleteThat is very cool. I tried to plan a similar project for my sister, and it failed miserably. I would be interested in hearing more about the process for planning and making you amazing musical score.
ReplyDeleteHi Amy. It was a test-knit, so very little planning went into it - I just had to pick a song and was sent the chart for the score.
DeleteThat's cottonpicking amazing!
ReplyDeleteYour scarf is awesome. I love it best as a scarf because you can see both sides which adds to the awesomeness! And it can't be any bigger than the Doctor Who scarves, right?
ReplyDeleteNot sure about those colours ... I want to say Sandnes Garn Smart Superwash might get you close on some of them.
I actually don't think I've ever seen a Doctor Who scarf, but I'll take your word for it :)
DeleteThanks for the hint about the yarn - fortunately Sandnes has distributors in Denmark, so I'll take a look.
That looks amazing! Perhaps you could use it as a dust cover for a piano or keyboard?
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've considered that myself... it's probably still a tad too long, but for something like that it wouldn't matter
